Hanover Park •

Product Engineer

On-site New York City, United States Full-time

We are building the autonomous operating system for investment firms.

Hanover Park is building an AI-native ERP that replaces the fragmented software and manual workflows powering private markets. We built our own general ledger from the ground up, giving AI agents the context and tools to perform complex financial work autonomously.

In under a year, we've scaled to over $40 billion in assets under administration, serving some of the world's most sophisticated investment firms. We're backed by Lux Capital, Emergence Capital, and Susa Ventures.

Stripe for payments. Ramp for expenses. Hanover Park for investments.

Our team is extremely talent-dense. It includes top open-source contributors, YC founders, Harvard dropouts, and engineers who have built and raced drones internationally for Team USA. We bring experience across applied AI, fintech, and financial services, with backgrounds at Palantir, Affirm, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and more.

We're still early. Our hardest technical and product challenges lie ahead.

About the Role

Financial software has historically been complex, ugly, and painful to use. We think the next generation should be radically different. We’re focused on software that makes sophisticated financial workflows feel simple, and AI agents that increasingly perform the work themselves.

Building that experience requires engineers who can own the product, not just the implementation. Engineers with exceptional taste, strong technical instincts, and the ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into beautiful, production-ready software.

You'll work directly with our founders and customers to define what great financial software looks like. There are no PMs writing specs or designers handing you mockups. You'll identify problems, make product decisions, design solutions, and ship them yourself.

The best product engineers see the gap between what exists and what should exist, and have the judgment and technical ability to close it.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Own Product End to End: Take features from customer conversations through design, engineering, and production. Make product decisions independently and iterate directly with users.

  • Build Beautiful, High-Performance Software: Turn complex financial workflows into intuitive, fast, and polished experiences. Sweat the details, from interaction design to latency and edge cases.

  • Define the Future of Agent UX: Build new interaction patterns for humans working alongside autonomous AI agents. Solve hard problems around oversight, feedback, trust, and control in high-stakes workflows.

  • Ship Across the Stack: Work on everything from investor portals and portfolio management to core financial infrastructure and AI-powered workflows. Own the technical challenges required to deliver great experiences.

  • Set the Product Quality Bar: Shape our design system, component library, and engineering standards. Build the patterns that other engineers will follow.

  • Move Fast and Talk to Customers: Prototype in code, test with real users, and ship continuously. You'll work directly with some of the world's most sophisticated investors and financial operators.

Exceptional Candidates Have Demonstrated

  • Full-Stack Engineering Depth: Strong TypeScript, React, and backend engineering skills, with the ability to own complex features from database to UI.

  • Exceptional Product Taste: A portfolio of shipped products that stand out for their usability, interaction design, and attention to detail. You know what great software feels like.

  • Independent Product Judgment: The ability to turn ambiguous customer needs into thoughtful product decisions without waiting for a spec, mockup, or approval.

  • UX and Design Obsession: You care deeply about the small details that distinguish functional software from exceptional software. You can design and implement those details yourself.

  • Experience Building with AI: You've shipped production LLM-powered features and understand the challenges of integrating agents into real user workflows.

  • Technical Ambition: You're comfortable tackling difficult engineering problems rather than compromising the product experience or handing the problem to someone else.

  • High Ownership and Velocity: A track record of independently shipping meaningful products quickly, learning from users, and continuously improving your work.

  • Relevant Experience: Experience building complex B2B software, AI products, developer tools, or financial infrastructure is a plus.

Our stack includes TypeScript, Next.js, React, Supabase/Postgres, AWS, and .

Why Hanover Park

Private markets represent over $100 trillion in assets, yet the software powering them remains decades behind.

We're replacing that infrastructure with an AI-native system that can eventually run much of the work autonomously. The opportunity isn't just to build better accounting software. It's to fundamentally change how investment firms operate.

You'll join a small, engineering-first team where you can own entire products, work directly with customers, and ship software used by some of the most sophisticated financial institutions in the world.

We have no PM layer, no dedicated design team, and no shortage of hard problems.

If you want to build ambitious products with exceptional people, we'd love to meet you.
