Production Operator
Location: Danbury, CT area (onsite)
Pay: $20–$25/hr
Type: Contract (6 months) · Full time · 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
A manufacturer of plastic and chemical compounds near Danbury needs a production operator for a six-month assignment on day shift. No nights and no weekends. It suits someone with blending or mixing experience who wants steady daytime hours.
What you'll do
Set up, run and monitor equipment that blends, mixes and packages liquid and dry compounds
Weigh ingredients to recipe and load them into the machines
Watch equipment for safe, efficient running and fix basic problems
Take material samples to the lab when asked
Log production in written records and the plant's system
Keep your area clean and follow ISO and safety procedures
What you bring
1+ year in blending, mixing, extrusion or plastics production (floor work, not warehouse)
Comfortable in a chemical plant wearing PPE such as a respirator, gloves and hearing protection
Able to lift 55 lbs often and help move up to 250 lbs occasionally
Basic Microsoft Office skills for daily data entry
Careful with recipes, records and quality
High school diploma or GED
PPE and safety gear are provided.
