Merchandise Analyst
MOUNT WAVERLEY, au, Australia Full-time 2+ yrs
In this varied and fast-paced role, you'll be responsible for:
- Producing daily, weekly and monthly sales and trade reporting
- Analysing sales, inventory and supplier performance data
- Investigating overdue stock orders and delivery issues
- Monitoring supplier and distribution centre performance
- Preparing reports and insights to support commercial decisions
- Identifying trends, opportunities and process improvements
- Working closely with Merchandise, Supply Chain and Store Operations teams
- Supporting promotional analysis and planning activities
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data and turning information into meaningful insights.
You'll bring:
- 2-5 years' experience in an analytical, finance, accounting, reporting or business-related role
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- A proactive approach and genuine desire to learn
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
Nice to have:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar
- Experience in retail, supply chain, inventory or merchandise environments
- Reporting and data analysis experience
