The Product Content Globalization (PCG) team provides strategic, scalable, high quality, and cost-effective localization deliverables to deliver best-in-class global user experiences and drive Motorola Solutions' global growth and leadership in AI-powered security solutions. We support multiple brands and assets-including software, product documentation, websites, and support communities-by embedding ourselves directly within stakeholder teams and continually innovating through proactive collaboration, seamless communication, and cutting-edge automation. Job Description

You will be working within both the PCG and internal stakeholder teams focused on UI testing automation and Globalization platform development to support Product Content localization across Motorola Solutions. In this role, you will identify and troubleshoot UI layout issues in localized software, create and maintain automation scripts, develop specialized localization tools, and research and contribute to the continuous optimization of our localization tech stacks-leveraging AI tools in a responsible and impactful manner.

A genuine passion for languages and foreign cultures is paramount to your success in this position. You should possess a foundational curiosity about how software spans across global markets, bringing familiarity with core industry concepts including internationalization (i18n), localization (l10n), and globalization (g11n). As a self-motivated team player with meticulous attention to detail, you will thrive in our collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Owning UI layout testing from start to finish for select software products undergoing localization QA
• Using your strong coding ability and knowledge of object-oriented design patterns to solve challenging problems involving Globalization platform capabilities and i18n defects
• Creating transformation scripts to seamlessly convert native file formats to localization-friendly file formats and back again
• Analyzing source code to identify efficient ways to trigger specific strings within linguistic testing scope
• Creating and maintaining automation scripts for various testing and workflow tasks
• Responsibly incorporating modern AI tools into the development and refinement of localization tools
• Executing post-translation engineering tasks to ensure functional and visual integrity across languages

Qualifications:

• General understanding of Software Internationalization and Localization Principles
• Strong software design and programming skills, including knowledge of object-oriented development
• Knowledge of Python, Bash, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, React/TypeScript, C++, MySQL and proficiency with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright and Selenium
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines - Azure Kubernetes (AKS) and GitHub actions
• Ability to work collaboratively with external and cross-functional stakeholders to implement automated tests, ensuring timely, high-quality feedback for product releases
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Deep passion and love for languages, diverse cultures, and global technologies

Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with MySQL, Django API development, and database management
• Knowledge of a foreign language, specifically one or more of the following: Arabic, Hebrew, or German

NOTE: Translation tasks are not required, but the candidate should be able to differentiate various languages and feel comfortable navigating complex software in multiple non-native languages.

Target Salary Range: 45,600 - 66,000 CAD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
