Hydraulics Maintenance Technician

Location: Huntington, WV area (onsite)

Type: Permanent · Full time · Rotating shifts

An industrial equipment and service company needs a Hydraulics and Lubrication Maintenance Technician to look after the rolling mill equipment it supports at a large steel facility. It's a direct hire with benefits and long-term work, not a short contract.

What you'll do

• Install, inspect, repair and adjust hydraulic and lubrication systems on heavy rolling mill equipment

• Service hydraulic power units, servo and proportional valves, cylinders, accumulators and high-pressure piping

• Maintain centralized oil and grease lube systems for gearboxes and roll bearings, plus filter skids and manifolds

• Keep hydraulic fluid clean and in spec

• Trace circuit faults from schematics, and handle both planned PM and breakdown calls

What you bring

• Hands-on industrial hydraulics: HPUs, valves, cylinders and circuits above 1,500 PSI

• Experience with centralized lubrication on gearboxes, bearings or roll necks

• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and P&IDs

• Comfort with rotating shifts in a hot, heavy plant

• Reliable transportation to a site outside Huntington

Nice to have: Servo or proportional valve experience (a real edge), steel or aluminum rolling mill background.
