What you'll do
Water, clean, equalize and capacity-test lead-acid forklift batteries
Swap batteries through each shift, timed with operators so trucks keep moving

Diagnose weak batteries with a voltmeter and hydrometer, and keep logs current
Clean up electrolyte spills safely and keep the room OSHA compliant
Cover teammates' shifts for PTO, appointments and call-offs
What you bring
High school diploma or GED
1–2 years in a battery room, industrial or warehouse maintenance, or a similar trade
Working knowledge of watering, equalization and specific gravity testing
Good PPE and OSHA habits; able to lift 50+ lbs and run battery lifts and hoists
Real flexibility to pick up extra shifts
Nice to have: DC electrical knowledge, forklift certification, OSHA 10/30, or a mechanic, HVAC or industrial electrical background.
$500/month toward health insurance (fully covers an individual). PPE provided; bring steel-toe boots. Path to lead technician.
